Swimming and soccer

Saturday was Kiersten's first middle-school swim meet so she spent an hour or so Friday night working on her starts. She hadn't swum on a team in over three years so she was a little rusty coming off the block, but she managed to get in some consistent starts.

The swim meet went as expected... with her being competitive it the shorter distances and not as much in the longer distances. She knew that competing against the girls who swim year-round would be difficult but she enjoyed it nonetheless.


















After the swim meet was over she quickly changed into her soccer kit and made it to the field only fifteen minutes into the game. The coach let her rest for about five minutes on the bench and then with her hair still wet from the pool she played the entire remainder of the game!
