Kees has an unbelieveable game on the mound... his best ever. The thing about Kees is that when the heat is on he comes through, and tonight he didn't just come through... he dominated!
Here he's coming off the mound after a three up, three down inning.

Kees throws his limit of 75 pitches and comes off the mound to applause... in five innings he kept their bats quiet, only walked two players and had a three up, three down and kept us in the game 1-0! Here he is giving the ball to Vinnie to closed the game. Vinnie did a stand-up job as well and we ended up winning the game 6-3 and are the tournament champions!

Beach to Bay Relay Marathon
Billed as the oldest (31 years) and largest (over 9,000) relay marathon we did the Beach to Bay on Saturday. "Dads and daughters"... that's what we called our team... although after injuries to a dad and his daughter we became two dads and two daughters and two of their friends. Regardless it was a blast and even with the two girls doing some walking we placed something like 200 out of 800 in the adult mixed division!
I ran the first leg on the beach... yes... 4.5 miles in the soft sand... and handed off to Kiersten. Our hand-off was hilarious because it took like a minute because as we ran along side each other she handed me her jacket and I handed her the baton and my iPod!
Here's Kiersten moving along on leg 2... check out the cool "no hands" modification I did to our baton!

Awards day and baseball
Today was awards day for the fourth graders... my kids will never have perfect attendance with as many extracurricular activites as they have ;-)
Kees has been having a bit of a slump so we did some batting practice today and within 15 minutes he was banging them out again! The game, unfortunately was a close one with our team losing by one point! Now to the playoffs!!!
(During the game Kiersten got in some pitching with her friends in the batting cages.)
