As is our custom, we do Christmas morning at my sister's house with my brother-in-law and my four nephews...LOTS of presents to distribute... but Kiersten and Dominic did pretty well as elves ;-)

Winter Concert

Kees was sick all day today... of all days on the day of his Winter Concert... but I kept him home, nursed him back to health, and got him well enough to make it to the auditorium ten minutes before the concert began!

He did a stand-out job...1st chair trumpet!

Trail of Lights 5k

7,000 runners for a night race in Austin... pretty cool!

Also, the moon was the closest in it's orbit that it ever comes to the earth so it was HUGE!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving at my sister's house... and after all that turkey there's nothing better than a game of knock-out... which Kiersten played in her flip-flops!

20's night

Other than the whole long-hair thing, I think I did a pretty darn good job of putting together a 20's look... and as always he was very popular with the ladies ;-)

I'm back!

Sorry... just busy and the whole single-parent thing has me behind on my blogging. Kees is sick and I'm at home with him so I have some free time to catch up!

Kees all dressed up for invitational dance... it was "lady's choice" night... I hear he was quite popular!

And what's with girls now-a-days?? Within 30 minutes of it being over he gets a call from one of the girls inquiring into whether he likes another girl or not... this is 6th grade! Kees' response: "leave me alone, I'm busy". I probably need to work on his smoothness some, LOL!

Cheaper gas and no lines...

We've got stations all over town with gas in the $2.89-2.79 range... and I saw today on TV that in other cities people are waiting in line as long as an hour for gas this cheap... wow!

This summer it cost almost $100 to fill up my car... now $60-something!
